Lord Krishna is one of the most revered and popular deities in Hinduism, worshipped as the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu and as the supreme God. Born in a prison in Mathura to Devaki and Vasudeva, he was raised in Gokul by Nanda and Yashoda to escape the tyranny of King Kansa. As a child, he was notoriously mischievous, known for stealing butter ("Makhan Chor") and enchanting the residents of Vrindavan with his flute music. Krishna embodies love, compassion, and divine joy. He is often depicted with blue skin, wearing a yellow dhoti and a peacock feather in his hair. His life includes significant moments like lifting the Govardhan Hill and guiding Arjuna in the Mahabharata war, where he delivered the Bhagavad Gita—a profound scripture on duty, karma, and devotion.
